Combine epic Class IV whitewater and 1,000 feet of sheer canyon walls and you get an unbeatable full day rafting adventure. The Royal Gorge has it all with soaking hits and amazing views from within the canyon!

The Royal Gorge combines famous Class IV rapids like Sunshine Falls, Sledgehammer and Wall Slammer with incredible, sheer canyon scenery. If you are not already out of breath from the Class IV paddling, looking up at the narrow and steep gorge walls will surely take your breath away. This world famous trip takes you under the world's highest suspension bridge while paddling over steep drops and huge waves. 1,000 feet below the rim of the canyon, the Arkansas River provides a classic rafting expedition for the white water veterans or the adrenaline-seeking first timers. Enjoy our "Ultimate Fajita Buffet" lunch served riverside during the 14 miles of river we will cover. Our minimum age for the Royal Gorge is 14.

Day by Day Itinerary

Full Day Itinerary

Our guides will greet you at our meeting location is Canyon City at 9:00. You will hop into our bus or van and we'll shuttle you to the put in. At the put in, you will be given a life jacket, helmet, paddle and wetsuit gear if you arranged to rent it. Once you are geared up, you will be given a safety talk to learn about different situations on the river. Your guide will then teach you his or her paddle commands and give you a little time to practice those while you are still on land. After your boats are on the water, there will be more time to get your paddle strokes fine tuned before the first rapid. During your journey we will serve you our "Ultimate Fajita Buffet" lunch on the river. At the take out our dependable drivers will be there to haul you back to your vehicle.

In 2003, we became the only outfitter in Colorado to adopt a "No First-Year Guide" policy. The most important way to ensure your safety and enjoyment is to have an experienced guide controlling your raft. We are the only outfitter in Colorado to exclusively provide you with guides who are, at least, in their fourth year of professional guiding.

How to Reserve your Whitewater Rafting Trip

Advance reservations are highly recommended.

  • Trips can be reserved with any major credit card.
  • We find that the easiest way to reserve your trip is to pay in full at the time the reservation is made. However, if this is not possible a 50% deposit is required for trips booked more than 10 days prior to the trip date. The remaining 50% will be charged 10 days before the trip date.
  • Reservations made for trips less than 10 days prior to the trip date must be paid in full.

Cancellations

For cancellations made more than 10 days prior to the trip date:

  • All 1/2, 3/4, and full day trips will receive a full refund minus a $10 booking fee per person, per trip.
  • All multi-day raft trips will receive a full refund minus a $15 booking fee per person, per day.

No refunds for cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the trip date due to operating costs that are incurred well before your trip.
