Full Description
Three days of Unlimited Vertical.
That means you can ski like you're in college, and still be back at the office in time to tell everyone else about your helicopter heroics and deep powder descents. With only three other people in the helicopter to corroborate your story, we're pretty sure you're headed for Warren Miller next year.

- Free use of powder skis, poles, snowboards, and transceiver
- Gourmet supper and breakfast at lodge, picnic lunches in terrain

Day by Day Itinerary
Sample Itinerary
Arrival Day
Room Check-in at Heather Mountain Lodge is 6:00pm. If you arrive earlier, make yourself at home, enjoy a drink in the lounge or take a tour of our property. After you are unpacked and settled in, join us in the lodge with your boots, so the guides can get your skis set-up after dinner.
We welcome you to the dining room at 7:00 pm for dinner and introductions. After dinner guides will escort you to the Ski Room located in the lower level of the lodge to choose equipment, weigh in and complete some administration. Afterward enjoy entertainment in the lounge.
Typical Day
6:30-7:30am - The guides rise early to go over snow conditions and make decisions on where you will be skiing that day. The Canadian Helicopter flight personnel prepare and inspect helicopter.
8:00am - Breakfast. We offer a wide selection of nutritious choices to start your day - everything you need to hit the powder. Please bring your reading glasses on your first morning, as Release of Liability Waivers will be signed at this time.
9:00am-10:45am - (First Day Only) - On your first ski day we will all participate in the heli-briefing and companion search training. Light snacks will be served in the Ski Room before you head out. Everyone must attend.
9:00am - First group lifts off from on-site helipad at the lodge.
12:30 - Lunch out in the field with hot soup and tea to accompany your picnic lunch prepared by our HML chefs.
4:00-4:30pm - Final turns, arrival to the lodge Note: December and early January's last run is earlier due to earlier dusk.
4:30-6:00pm - Guides/Pilots Meeting - discussion on the days skiing and plans for tomorrow.
4:30pm - Après ski snack and cold drinks are served in the Ski Room.
5:00-7:00pm - Free Time, Massage, relaxation.
7:00pm - Dinner-the other highlight of the day!
8:30pm - Entertainment in the lounge. Final night is ‘Reward Night' and all Powder Privilege Recipients will be honored.
Check-Out Day
2, 3, 4 & 5 Day Guests - Guests who are departing after skiing on their final day, please ensure that you have all your things packed and set aside near the door of your room so that housekeeping can prepare for those guests arriving. Due to the hectic nature of these mid-week x-change days, we kindly ask that all guests are checked out of their rooms between 4:30-5:00pm at the lates

We wanted a playground in our backyard; a place in the mountains to live and raise our family. Great Canadian Heli-Skiing (GCH) in Golden, British Columbia was that opportunity. Since we purchased GCH in 2000, we have found ourselves immersed in a group of passionate people that shape Great Canadian Heli-Skiing. It is so much more than what we could of dreamed of. It is a home for our children, a place to be with friends, it is supremely fulfilling as we share ‘the best run of our lives' day after day.
Whatever you're searching for, be it adventure, powder, relaxation, camaraderie, it will be only a small part of what you will find.
Great Canadian Heli-Skiing is Deane Pickering, with us since 1996. Our Customer Relations Manager is a true Golden local. With her heart and voice of gold you will know from your first call, you are in good hands.
Great Canadian Heli-skiing is Greg "the General" Golovach, with us since 1992. He passionately runs the operations as head guide, leading you, our guest with precision and a knowledge and nose for powder.
Great Canadian Heli-Skiing is Dan Bracko, with us since 2005. A chef whose passion for skiing is only superceded by his commitment to creating memorable food. When you taste his fare you must agree that loving life is the best spice in life.
Great Canadian Heli-Skiing is Marcie Taylor, with us since June 2006. Marcie is our Lodge Manager whose primary concern is that you are well looked after during your stay with us!
Great Canadian Heli-Skiing is Tim Wilkinson, with us since June 2009. Tim is our Director of Marketing and Communications, or in his own words a "professional ski bum", who has boarded in over 125 resorts around the world and worked in ski resorts in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland.
Most importantly Great Canadian Heli-Skiing is our guests. From pioneering boutique heli-skiing in 1988, to launching unlimited vertical in 2006, you have created, with your ideas, needs and dreams, the ultimate heli-skiing experience, and a place that is apart of the lives of many passionate people. This is only a small group of very dedicated people, guides, guests and staff that you will find at Great Canadian Heli-Skiing. Great Canadian Heli-Skiing holds your safety as our #1 priority. Our guides are experienced and certified professionals (Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, Canadian Ski Guide Association and International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations). They are all trained in snow safety, weather analysis, and emergency medical techniques and mechanized ski guiding. You know you are in safe hands since all of our guides have, at the very least, +10 years of experience out in the field. Day by day they will find the best of what Mother Nature has to offer.
