Take your climbing skills a step further with under under expert guidance. Learn anchors, leading principles, AMGA standards for top ropes, advanced techniques and multi-pitch systems.

Programs run Monday through Friday and include all camp gear at our basecamp, dinners & breakfasts, and all rock climbing gear. Small groups, expert guides, and a lot of great climbing. Five day rock camps are designed for those who want to climb in the Yosemite region and increase their skills. We work on climbing techniques, rope handling, anchors, and focus the trip on the client's experience level and areas of interest/emphasis. Our professional guides have spent years perfecting their skills in and around Yosemite and look forward to not only teaching you about rock climbing, but getting to know you as well.

Accommodations: First night in the Curry Village tent cabins (shared occupancy) followed by two nights camping in tents.

Grade: 5.4-5.10+, beginner top-rope routes to classic multi-pitch climbing.

Equipment: All camping and climbing gear is provided if requested on registration form: sleeping bags, tents, pads, harnesses, shoes and helmets. You may print from our web page a detailed clothing/gear, directions, and this itinerary.

Meals: Dinners & breakfasts are included.

Preparation: Climbing in the gym, reading and watching climbing videos will help you steepen your learning curve.

Group Size: 2-4 participants with 1 guide.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Meet at Bowler Campground for Southern Yosemite trips between 4 & 6 pm. Dinner is served at 6pm.

Day 2

In the morning we head to the rock for a day of climbing. Equipment, terminology, movement on rock, tying in, belaying, and etiquette at the crags are all covered during the mornings instruction. After a full day of climbing, we return to camp where dinner and campfire end the day's activities.

Day 3

We will set up top ropes and go over the techniques used for crack climbing. The afternoon will be spent going over all aspects of gear placement, following and lead climbing. Everyone will get a chance to follow and clean a pitch using natural protection.

Day 4

The day begins with an anchor seminar covering the aspects of building clean, safe and efficient anchors. The afternoon will be spent following and cleaning climbs, practicing lead climbing as well as what to expect on multi-pitch climbs the following day.

Day 5

Multi-pitch climbing that will encompass everything we have learned over the course of the week. We finish up around 3pm on Friday.
